The Riverside Story
Riverside Public House was born out of the simple idea that Dalton deserved a place where people could sit down, eat well, and feel welcome.
Owner Robert Collins was a longtime regular at the pub that previously occupied this space on Depot Street. When it closed, the community felt the loss, and so did he. Robert decided to do something about it.
He opened Riverside with the same local pub spirit in mind. Robert worked with local partners like Holiday Brook Farm and Berkshire Mountain Distillery to keep things as close to home as possible. Chef Ryan McIntyre handles the kitchen, making everything in house, including the hand breaded chicken tenders and wood fired pizza.
The name? It’s pretty simple. Robert’s wife took a look at the location sitting next to the river and said, how about Riverside.
It stuck.
